Goals

I love transitions as they allow for dreaming, planning, and goal setting. I have always been a goal maker.

When I was young I loved the start of the school year in the fall, the start of the new year in January, and the start of the summer each May. These seasonal shifts allowed me to check in to any progress I was making on goals, acknowledge goals achieved, and to set new goals that I was excited about.

I hold onto those same transitions even thirty years past my last graduation. They feel right and they allow me the time and routine to check in with myself.

Admittedly, some years and some goals have turned out better than others, but for me the process of thinking, scheduling, trying, succeeding, and failing is where the magic happens.

When I have a project standing still it feels like it is dying. I would rather it be moving, even moving in the wrong direction, than to have it stagnant.

With a new year in front of me, I am excited with the same possibilities I see each year. There is newness, beauty, uncertainty, hope, excitement and growth in my future. And in yours.

Join us at Shift Gathering as we share goals, ideas, sorrows, achievements, pivots, aspirations, and celebrations. We are a growing community that is strong, supportive, and safe.

We want to know about your goals. We are thrilled to hear about your ambitions. We will help you pivot when you hit roadblocks. And we will support your wins. Let us become your flock.

We have saved a place for you.
